Officer Josh Williams, 44

Waxahachie Texas Police Department

July 28, 2012 – Officer Josh Williams was killed when a drunk driver crashed into his patrol car. Officer Williams is survived by his wife and three children.

Deputy Sheriff Sergio Aleman

Milwaukee County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office

July 31, 2012 – Deputy Sergio Aleman was killed when his patrol car struck the rear of a flatbed truck. He is survived by his wife and six children.

Deputy Sheriff Josh Mitchell, 25

Reagan County Texas Sheriff’s Office

August 1, 2012 – Deputy Josh Mitchell was shot and killed during a search for a suicidal suspect. Deputy Mitchell located the suspect, and as he approached the man opened fire, fatally wounding the deputy. Deputy Mitchell is survived by his wife, parents, grandmother, and siblings.
