WPA 2013 Was All About…YOU!

WPA 2013

As Denene and I took Kathy Reichs on a brief tour of the WPA facilities, we discussed what makes the WPA so darn popular. Sure, we put on a fine show, the best anywhere. And our instructors are the finest in the business, but here are the folks who really make us shine…

Well, there are a few other things that keep writers coming back for more, such as high-risk traffic stops, firearms, explosions, canines, undercover officers—street prostitution, narcotics, etc.

Will we see you in 2014?

Are you blogging about your experiences at the 2013 WPA? If so, why not do it here? Contact me for details at lofland32@msn.com.

    Lee, you guys outdid yourselves again! WPA just keeps getting more professional and better planned each year. Thanks for the best one yet, and I can’t wait until 2014!

    BTW, was there an evaluation form for the conference? I didn’t see one before I left on Sunday.

    I have a suggestion for a couple of people who would make very interesting speakers or instructors in an upcoming year (and who just happen to have a new television series called “Cold Justice” http://www.tntdrama.com/series/cold-justice/):

    – Kelly Siegler, former Texas prosecutor for 21 years who successfully tried 68 murder cases;

    – Yolanda McClary, former crime scene investigator who worked more than 7,000 cases in her 26 years on the Las Vegas Police Department.

    Thanks again for a great conference. Please continue to have Dr Ramsland, one of the best things about WPA (other than you, of course 🙂 ).

    The instructors, experts, and personnel are top notch. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly that I instantly felt at ease and couldn’t wait to soak up as much as possible. I will definitely be back next year.

    What GunDiva said and more…You’ll be seeing me there next year (like it or not and I’m giving you plenty of warning!)

    The WPA has morphed into a huge event. In fact, the first two seem tiny in comparison. And, the quality and quantity of workshops have also grown bigger and better. In other words, it’s one of the best writer events I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to a bunch.

    Wow. It’s astounding to see how much this even has grown in the past few years.

    Good on you, Lee (and all of the people involved in organizing WPA).
