Weekend Road Trip: My New Backyard

My New Backyard

After living in California, Seattle, and Boston, three of the worst cities in the world for driving, it’s nice to have room to stretch your legs. Although, I still miss California and Seattle. Boston…not so much. They’ve already had snow. Yuck! Anybody watching the Patriots game last weekend knows what I’m talking about and what I’m not missing about New England. It was 78 degrees here today!. Speaking of the Patriots, was Tom Brady on fire in that game, or what?

Anyway, here are a few photos of the new neighborhood and surrounding area.

At first I thought it was a floating home community, but the second picture seems to be a community almost on the water. If you drove from CA to Seattle on I-5, just before you crossed from Oregon to Washington, you passed a floating home community on the left. You should have waved! I’d’ve waved back.
Have you seen the Canadian series, The Murdoch Mysteries? All sorts of ‘starting’ out forensics in Victorian Toronto. Rather interesting.

    Lee,

It would be an honour to be there but I will not be able to make it this year. I would love to sit down and chat with you one day and a few other people on your site.

My next Weekend Road Trip is Hong Kong at the end of November so I will send you a few photos on my return.

    Lee,

I think I like your backyard. I might be tempted one of these days. Autumn has arrived here. Wet, windy, clocks go back tonight which will mean pretty much going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.

Perhaps I will do some California Dreamin’ when the alarm goes off on Monday which is not something that is dedicated to what I love. Yep, I am a fan.

    take care

Terry – I guess we were pretty lucky to get rid of our place in Boston as quickly as we did. It’s sunny and in the upper 70’s here today. Very nice.

Becky – Close. I do have a riding mower now, which is a bit different than what I used in California and Boston. I could mow both of those yards, trim, leaf blow, and clean up in 20 minutes. Here, it takes about 2 hours.

You’re killing me, Lee. We haven’t had any action on our house and are still stuck in hot, steamy (yeah, it’s late October, but tell that to the weather) central Florida where there’s nothing but flat and green.
