Florida has some beautiful places to see and so much history and stuff to learn.
Last Saturday, 3 August, I drove from Orlando to Key West, then after visiting a good deal of Key West on Sunday I drove to Naples which was beautiful. I want to go back and spent at least a month in Key West lol. I had a blast in Orlando with dear friends too.
That’s an unusual event, Ellen. A conference where you must apply and then be accepted to attend.
Maybe we should try a mini Writers’ Police Academy there. Hmm…
Hey, one of my local chapters IS having a writers conference on the beach there in October 🙂
Thanks for the trip to a place I’ve never been. Lovely.
I live in Florida but don’t get to St. Augustine often enough. When I do, though, that wonderful city does satisfy the history lover in me. In places it even reminds me of another favorite city, Newport, RI – except with more sun! Thanks so much for sharing.
Lovely photos, Lee. I loved visiting St. Augustine two years ago.
Let’s hold a conference there….beautiful city, great views, good food: perfect recipe for juicing the muse! Thanks, Lee, for reminding us what a beautiful country we have. Cheers
Thanks for the brief trip, Lee,a nice way to begin the day.
Isn’t it cool that cell phone cameras sometime take decent photos. Since functions and settings are sort of limited, I try to catch sunlight, or the lack of, to enhance a shot. It turns out okay, occasionally.
Only time I was in Florida, there was hurricane….LOL But the pictures are great!
One of my favorite places. We stop there twice a year, get a beach fix and keep going.
I remember being in St. Augustine when I was about 7 or 8 years old. We toured the old fort there – Castillo De San Marcos. Just about 50 years ago and I still recall the name of the fort.
What a memory!
And for breakfast today, I had … uh, wait a sec., it’s coming … 🙂
Gorgeous pictures, Lee!
