Friday's Heroes - Remembering the fallen officers

 

Deputy Sheriff Chad Mechels, 33

Deputy Chad Mechels was shot and killed on March 15, 2009, while checking on the well-being of a citizen. When the deputy approached the residence, he was fatally wounded by a 19 year-old man. Deputy Mechels leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Parole Officer Jeffrey Woolson, 41

New York Division of Parole

 

Parole  Officer Woolson was killed in an on-duty automobile accident on March 19, 2009.
