Officer Brian Moore, 25

New York City Police Department

May 4, 2015 – Officer Brian Moore was shot and killed when he and his partner pulled alongside a suspect to ask a question. The man immediately pulled a gun and fired inside the police car, shooting Officer Moore in the face.

Lieutenant Eric A. Eslary, 40

Ligonier Pennsylvania Township Police Department

May 5, 2015 – Lt. Eric Eslary was killed in head-on crash with a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a divided highway.

He is survived by his wife and six children.

Sergeant Greg Moore

Coeur d’Alene Idaho Police Department

May 5, 2015 – Segeant Greg Moore was shot and killed after responding to a call regarding vehicle break-ins. After shooting the sergeant, the suspect stole his police car and fled. He was later captured after a brief vehicle pursuit and foot chase.

Sergeant Moore is survived by his wife and two children.

Detective Paul J. Koropal

Allegheny County Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Office – Investigative Division

May 5, 2015 – Detective Paul Koropal suffered a fatal heart while assisting a narcotics task force with the service of 11 search warrants.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
